Taylor's journey to fame began her career on YouTube. She started with making ASMR videos with her smartphone. PewDiePie made her the focus of his video about gaming shortly after she hit 50,000 subscribers, about one and a half months after her debut video. Taylor was unable to work for her Youtube channel at two months. There were close to 100,000 subscribers. The main reason was technical difficulties and she felt overwhelmed. After August 2022, and having a hiatus of couple of months, Taylor started making videos such as the ASMR 10 triggers for sleep (35 million views). In July 2017, she posted another video that was viewed by millions, ASMR 20 Triggers To Help to sleep (38 million views by August 2022). In August 2017, she was interviewed by Shane Dawson for his video, and soon afterward, hit a million YouTube viewers. In February of 2019, Wired UK estimated that she made $1,000 per day through advertising on her YouTube channel

Dennis Helfer was a Canada-based farmer, and Elaine Helfer, a Canadian woman are her parents. The two are from German, English, Swedish and Norwegian origin. She attended her school, the William E. Hay Composite High School, located in Stettler (Alberta). She worked and lived on the family's farm alongside her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. An agent scout spotted Helfer when she was 17 when she was waiting in line for a movie.
